Puan Nora was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Etiqa Life Insurance Berhad on 1 June 2021. She also serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board and a member of the Board Oversight Committee of Innovation & Technology of Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad.

She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, United Kingdom and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting from the University of Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Puan Nora has more than 25 years of experience in financial management, notably in financial institutions and capital markets.

Prior to her early retirement in 2020, Puan Nora was the Chief Financial Officer of Cagamas Berhad Group of Companies. She spearheaded the financial leadership of the group and was responsible for upholding strong financial management and governance while providing timely, accurate and reliable financial information and enhancing internal control.

Apart from the Cagamas Group, Puan Nora had held other Chief Financial Officer/Head of Finance positions at 3 Islamic Financial Institutions, namely RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, Asian Finance Bank Berhad and AlRajhi Banking and Investment Corporation (Malaysia) Berhad.

Besides the Maybank Group, Puan Nora currently also sits on the boards of several public companies such as Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad and Group, BI Credit & Leasing Berhad and Global Maritime Ventures Berhad.
